You know your child best and you want to help them succeed. But when it comes to reading, it can be hard to know where to begin. Parent coaching gives you the tools, strategies, and confidence to support your child at home using approaches that actually work. Rooted in the Science of Reading, these sessions are designed to take the guesswork out of helping your child grow as a reader.
This service is for families who want literacy support at home, whether or not your child is currently enrolled in tutoring. My goal is to make sure every parent feels empowered with practical resources and strategies that fit their child’s needs.
How it Works
1. Initial Assessment
Before we meet, I will assess your child’s reading skills to give you the most accurate, individualized guidance.
2. Personalized Student Learning Plan
After the assessment, I’ll create a learning plan highlighting your child’s strengths, growth areas, clear goals, and suggested next steps.
3. Parent Coaching Call
We’ll meet virtually to walk through your child’s results and explore specific strategies for you to use at home. You’ll walk away with play-based activities you can use immediately and a digital drive with personalized resources to use with your child.
4. Continued Email Support
As you begin building reading routines at home, I’ll be alongside you to offer guidance, encouragement, and practical solutions whenever challenges arise.
5. Option for Continued Coaching
After your initial call, you’ll have the option to continue with ongoing coaching. These follow-up 1:1 sessions give us the chance to check in on your child’s progress, fine-tune strategies, and ensure you feel supported as you put new routines into practice at home.
